The Functional Finance team is an integral part of the worldwide Finance organization, partnering with global functions to help guide and influence Senior Management on investments, organization performance and provide insights supported by meaningful and accurate financial information. The team partners with the leadership of our Global Functions, senior finance management and global finance colleagues across the organization.
With this role, we are looking for a trusted and experienced finance professional as part of the IT Finance team. The role will own various functional responsibilities related to business partnering, reporting, forecasting and planning.
Responsibilities of this role will include:
Collaborate/partner directly with cross functional teams, sharing relevant & accurate information & finding the right solutionsProvide comprehensive, accurate and timely management reporting to the stakeholders including creating communications & presentations for the leadershipDeliver insights to understand key drivers, proactively highlight risks, issues and opportunities for improvement; includes putting together “executive” summaries for plan, variances in actuals vs. forecast vs. plan etc., to share with the teamOwning the functional data & reporting dashboards, becoming a subject matter expert through ownership and support of the reporting and analysisChallenging status quo and pushing for reporting automation and innovation, and process improvement, simplification and optimizationPrepare and assist with the preparation of key materials presented to senior management and other key stakeholdersSupporting the forecasting/planning cycles. Take ownership of rolling up forecasts from teams on monthly basis, pressure testing, putting together plan forecast, highlighting risks and opportunitiesOwning & managing current dashboards and leading enhancements/improvements

What You'll Bring
A minimum of 5-6 years related finance or consulting experienceBachelor's degree in finance/accounting/economics and/or a MBA preferredExcellent communication skills – both oral and writtenStrong commercial acumen to bring insightsA passion for working in a collaborative team environmentMotivation and self-drive – excited by tackling challenges and pro-actively finding new ways to provide valueCritical Thinking and problem solving – proven ability to work through complex problems and analyses in providing a thoughtful concrete solutionAdvanced Excel skills and/or experience with other analytical tools (Such as Tableau, Alteryx, etc.)Who You'll Work With

The Functional Finance team is currently made up of 50 people across Boston and India working to provide financial decision support to BCG's finance and operations management teams.
