Finance Analyst Job ID 192364 Posted 12-Dec-2024 Service line Advisory Segment Role type Full-time Areas of Interest Accounting/Finance Location(s) San Francisco - California - United States of America About The Role: As a CBRE Financial Analyst you will be supporting our Agency Brokerage Team (office leasing and sales) operations. Working under close supervision, conducts and documents simple to moderate standard financial analysis and ad hoc finance projects. You will aid in organization with financial functions, such as assessing, auditing, planning, budgeting, taxes, consolidation, cost control, and project control. What You'll Do: Evaluate and analyze a broad range of financial results and indicators such as capital expenditures, depreciation, proposals, investment opportunities, rate of return, profit plans, operating records, financial statements, etc. Compile budgetary and fiscal data received from assigned departments to prepare revenue balance statements and historical comparisons of departmental expenditures with requested appropriations. Analyze records of present and past operations, trends and costs, estimated and realized revenues, administrative commitments, and obligations incurred to project future revenues and expenses. Assist in preparation of special studies, analyses, and recommendations in areas such as budgets, forecasts, financial plans, governmental requirements, statistical reports, and business forecasts. Retrieve and organize data into required reporting formats to provide a basis for comparison and evaluation. Prepare reports analyzing specific aspects of department structures, functions and operational procedures and recommends ways to improve efficiency and/or effectiveness. Conduct Financial Analysis/ NPV Analyses by working with Brokers to analyze various proposals (side by side) or one-off ideas, hypotheticals and more; make sure Brokers are equipped with the best information so that they can present options clearly and advise clients. Assist Brokers with leasing and marketing support, including (but not limited to): lease proposals, leasing reports, producing marketing reports, working with the Graphic Designers, taking pictures of buildings, etc. Provide Leasing & Marketing support by assisting Brokers in producing Pitches and Presentations for a variety of clients including: Landlord clients/prospects, Tenant clients/prospects, etc. Coordinate with Brokers to produce surveys based on the different requirements, needs and desires of various clients. Collaborate with the Research department on behalf of the Brokers to ensure all market research is of the highest quality and remains up to date. Participate in Sales Meetings and discuss what's happened in the market and take notes of new reports, comps, etc. Performs other duties as assigned. Some prior related work experience preferred but not required. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable and courteous service to customers. Ability to effectively present information to supervisors and finance management. Requires knowledge of basic financial terms, concepts and accounting principles. Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret financial information and the ability to accurately explain/report activity in verbal and written communications. Requires intermediate analytical skills. Computer skills, including specific knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.). Strong work ethic and adaptable. Experience with Argus is helpful. Real estate license is preferred. Prior experience in Finance is required. The minimum salary for the Finance Analyst position is $85,000 annually and the maximum salary for the Finance Analyst position is $100,000 annually.
