Job DescriptionWe are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Financial Analyst to join our team in Miamisburg, OH. This role is critical in overseeing the financial operations of our small site focused on hit and transfer for team sports. The Senior Financial Analyst will be responsible for various financial tasks and will report directly to the Finance Manager.
Financial Reporting and Analysis:
-Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
-Conduct variance analysis and provide explanations for significant differences.
-Develop and maintain financial models to support decision-making processes.
-Generate and present comprehensive financial reports and forecasts.
-Budgeting and Forecasting:
Lead the annual budgeting process for the site, ensuring alignment with corporate goals.
-Monitor and update forecasts, identifying potential risks and opportunities.
-Collaborate with site leadership to develop action plans based on financial performance.
Accounting Responsibilities:
-Oversee general ledger activities and ensure accurate and timely closing of accounts.
-Reconcile accounts and ensure the integrity of financial data.
-Support accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely invoicing and payment processing.
-Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls.
Data Management and Analysis:
-Set up and manage spreadsheet formulas, link spreadsheets and extract data
-Utilize Oracle and Excel or Google Sheets for financial data management and reporting.
Communication and Collaboration:
-Effectively communicate financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
-Work collaboratively with all levels of management and employees to achieve financial goals.
Qualifications:
-Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or a related field.
-2-3 years of experience in finance or a related discipline. -Analytical skills and knowledge of US GAAP and SOX. -----Proficiency in using computers and financial software, including advanced skills in Oracle and Excel or Google Sheets.
-Strong knowledge of financial research methodologies and ability to present data clearly.
-Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
-Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
Preferred Skills:
-Familiarity with Oracle financial systems.
-Skilled in Excel or Google Sheets.
