Finance Analyst/Manager

Summary

ASM Global, a leader in managing public assembly facilities, is seeking a Finance Analyst or Manager for the Salt Palace Convention Center & Mountain America Exposition Center. Reporting directly to the Director of Finance, this position will play a pivotal role in budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and business intelligence initiatives. This position is essential to the financial health and strategic planning of our venues. The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, and proficient in financial systems and data analysis tools. Occasional travel between the two venues within Salt Lake County is required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist in preparing annual budgets for both venues. Monitor monthly revenues and expenses, ensuring alignment with budgeted targets. Update monthly financial forecasts.Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements. Provide insights on financial performance and variances across leadership.Business Intelligence & Data Analysis: Develop dashboards and reports using BI tools like Tableau or Power BI. Extract, transform, load (ETL) data and create reports from internal systems. Innovate and implement improved reporting and process automation.Capital Improvement Project (CIP) Management: Track and maintain records of capital project budget funds and expenditures. Coordinate updates on capital projects.Pricing Analysis: Review and update pricing policies, including rental rates and ancillary services.Ad Hoc Projects: Assist in developing finance and accounting policies. Ensure adherence to company policies and relevant financial regulations. Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned.

Experience & Knowledge

A bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in accounting, math, computer information systems, finance and/or other similar degrees.Experience in SQL or dashboarding preferred but not required.Dependable and team-orientedStrong attention to detailAbility to interact with people on all levels such as leadership, co-workers, clients, exhibitors, and attendees.Ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently, prioritizing and accurately completing them on time in a potentially stressful environment.

Job Type: Full-time, 40 hours per week, In-Office/Hybrid

Salary: 50,000 - 80,000

Schedule: Monday-Friday, Flexible Start/End Times, Occasional Weekend Availability Required
