OVERVIEW

For more than 30 years, CAA Brand Management has helped brands of all shapes and sizes show up in new consumer product categories, experiences and territories, through licensing, strategic partnerships and joint ventures. Clients include many of the world’s leading brands and talent, including Coca Cola, Minecraft, and Formula 1.

CAA Brand Management’s finance team is looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Finance Assistant, you will report directly into the Financial Controller EMEA and play a crucial role in supporting the finance activities across the business. The role has a wide range of responsibilities and will require someone who can work accurately and to tight deadlines. This is an excellent opportunity for the finance assistant to be exposed to both financial controlling work as well as commercial finance. There is a good mix of routine work as well as ad hoc projects.

Duties and responsibilities controller function

• Accounts payable invoice processing and payments

• balance sheet reconciliations for accruals and prepayments at month end

• Preparing bank payments across multiple accounts and currencies and

subsequent accounting entries

• Maintaining currency tables which reconcile to bank accounts on a daily basis

• Preparing monthly bank reconciliations for 15-20 bank accounts

• Assist in banking-accounting software integration projects

• Completing quarterly VAT returns for submission to HMRC

• Review/approve expense reports in Concur as well as manual expense claims

• Process credit card expenses

• Reconcile pension contributions with payroll

• Run monthly fixed asset depreciation reports

Duties and responsibilities commercial finance function

• Process quarterly royalty reports to pay licensor's cash held in trust at CAA

• Prepare invoices in brand management software Brand Comply to be sent to licensees

• Assist credit control for licensee payments held in trust at CAA for licensors

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

• Must have some basic accounting qualifications (e.g., AAT or ACCA Applied Knowledge)

• Confident Excel user

• Previous SAP or Microsoft AX experience desirable

• Experience with Concur or other expense software desirable

• Must be comfortable working autonomously

• Ability to work at speed to process a sizable amount of simple transactions

• Good communication skills, such as reaching out to other team members quickly when needed to

keep tasks moving forwards and not overly reliant on email
