What You’ll Do as Finance Automation Product Owner

In your role, you’ll collaborate with different people across a range of skillsets. Here’s a flavour of your day-to-day:  Analyse new process improvement opportunities, remaining solution agnostic whilst ensuring that the candidate processes align with the Finance Transformation Strategy, quickly assessing the feasibility and value, and accurately facilitate the team to estimate development effort. Understand the risks, assumptions, and dependencies associated with the process. Document business processes to the granular level of detail (user story) and defined acceptance criteria.Support the creation and evolution of the Primark Finance Automation Delivery Framework.Maintain the opportunity backlog; assisting the team to deliver Sprint plans and project reporting.Work collaboratively across the finance team and other relevant teams across Primark, including Procurement and Technology.Build effective working relationships with stakeholders at a variety of levels, including finance leadership, in Primark and appropriately scope, analyse and deliver automation opportunities whilst managing high expectations from finance teams.Drive user acceptance test (UAT) and Hypercare/Post Live Monitoring documents, identifying all the process scenarios and exceptions and their expected outcomes. Create and document test cases for negative scenarios, in order to document workflow behaviour when certain systems malfunction, as well as performance scenarios, in order to stress test systems behaviour.  
What You’ll Bring  
Here at Primark, we want everyone to feel valued – so please bring your authentic self to work, of course with some other key experience and abilities for this role in particular: 2-3 years’ experience designing and documenting workflows for automated solutions leveraging technologies such as RPA (preferably using Automation Anywhere) and/or data processing & presentation (e.g., Alteryx, Tableau) is essential.Experience with the Scrum Agile software delivery lifecycle is essential Finance background and/or a knowledge of industry-leading ERPs (Oracle Financials, etc.) would be an advantage.Experience presenting to senior leaders.Preferred 1+ year of experience running and monitoring automation software in an operational environment.An appropriate degree, equivalent qualification or experiencePreferably a certification in Agile Product Ownership, Scaled Agile or equivalentAbility to both understand a business process from a workflow diagram and to conceptualize it as an automated solution. Understanding of formal change control and defect management  Experience in monitoring, reporting, and auditing.Knowledge of business process re-engineering.
