As a Finance Business Partner for CSD Regional Logistics, you will be a pivotal contributor in supporting both regional and global finance initiatives, focusing on enhancing financial control, performance management, and cross-functional collaboration. Approximately 70% of your work will be dedicated to the supply chain area for North America, where you will engage closely with regional teams. The remaining 30% of your time will be devoted to supporting global tasks, including implementing key CSD finance initiatives like global product costing, asset management, and HR-related performance management.
This role will position you as a bridge between regional and global finance functions, ensuring alignment with local and regional teams to uphold financial discipline in areas such as asset acquisition, depreciation, disposal, and comprehensive performance tracking across HR metrics. Your contributions will also extend to continuous improvement initiatives, helping Barry Callebaut advance its commitment to financial excellence
Key responsibilities include:
Monitor and controlling costs associated with Regional logistics. This includes analyzing transport costs, tariffs, and duties, and seeking ways to optimize the supply chain for cost efficiency Monitoring and evaluating performance against forecast and prior year (KPIs, BPIs), identifying risks and opportunities and reviewing results and developing mitigating actions with the Finance BP’s on-site and global supply chain and logistics management teams Prepares monthly reports and statistics as well as periodic analysis for the managers for the evaluation of the management Support the Month end closing for the accrual logistics and warehousing costs Creates reliable relationships with stakeholders and actively participates in ongoing projects to influence and support strategic decisions that lead to excellence in customer service, optimizing costs; Performance Management (Supply chain Savings follow up, Supply chain Business cases) Develop financial data for supply chain operations, including forecasting, Pre-calc and Post calc and performance analysis. Provide input for the transportation and warehousing cost for the pricing team Identify and mitigate risks associated with global supply chains, such as currency exchange rate fluctuations, political instability, compliance with international trade regulations, and disruptions due to global events or logistics issues. Support the negotiation of contracts and agreements with suppliers, logistics providers, and other partners from a financial perspective. Participate in cross-functional teams to implement supply chain projects Finance Improvement: Support key CSD finance initiatives (e.g.,product costing, savings target), ensuring global alignment in financial reporting and compliance. Asset Management: Collaborating with local and regional teams to ensure proper financial control over asset acquisition and disposal. Performance Management for HR: Manage the performance management process, KPI tracking, and HR-related financial cycles. Lead activities related to performance metrics to drive accountability and improvement in HR and finance operations.
About you:
Bachelor’s/Master’s in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field 3+ years’ experience as a Factory Controller or similar role Strong project management and leadership skills English conversational level (B2+) Experience in a multinational company, preferably in B2B / food industries Solid knowledge of logistics, supply chain partnering and controlling Data management SAP/excel/power BI experience
