What’s the role?  

Reporting to the Head of Finance & Controlling IQR US Product Centers, the Business Partner - Operations is responsible for analyzing and reporting the utilization and output for production as well as deriving accurate material overhead. Must assist in ensuring expense and output optimization by routinely monitoring the relevant KPIs. This person will also be responsible for managing and optimizing BOM costing and dealing with third party vendors to ensure the same. In addition, the person will also drive the working capital, warranty and CAPA related topics for the production center. Increasing visibility on corrective actions is a key activity for this position.

Here’s what you’ll do:  

The Finance Business Partner - Operations will create both standardized & custom reports, conduct quantitative product & operations analysis, provide support for internal and assess future needs and data integrity. Develop standardized tools and business processes aimed at improving operational efficiency and drive warranty and CAPA related activities.

Leadership SupportCollaborate with assigned Leaders in the areas of IQRProvide meaningful, actionable insights, advice, and recommendations on historic and the future financial performance to the Business’ leadership.Monitoring and reporting KPIsResponsible for deriving utilization and production outputResponsible for deriving accurate material overhead and monitoring to ensure expense and output optimizationResponsible for monitoring and reporting KPIs to ensure efficient production and outputCreate monthly reporting results package including key performance indicatorsEnsuring optimized BOM costingResponsible for managing BOM costingResponsible for monitoring and ensuring optimized costing for third party materials and third-party vendor purchasesShould be comfortable challenging vendorsMonitoring production center working capitalPeriodically review and monitor the working capital for the production centerOptimize working capital levels to ensure smooth production with minimal costsMonthly reporting of working capital KPIsClosing & Audit ResponsibilitySupport timely and accurate reporting to Zeiss corporate headquarters including establish and monitor corporate policies for budget and actualsSupport the financial auditors and ensure timely response on requestsBeing a backup for the Senior Finance Business Partner – Product Center IQS

Do you qualify? 

Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting or Finance.  5+ years of accounting related experience.Strong ability to understand and optimize end to end processes while recommending improvements where applicableHigh level of organizational skills for both information and processShould be capable of challenging the business on difficult decisions - Feel comfortable challenging the norm and what is currently being doneStrong project management skills - ability to track and drive initiatives forwardStrong attention to detailAbility to see larger picture and think outside the boxStrong analytical capacityStrong problem-solving skillsAbility to establish and maintain positive working relationships with people in various situations at all levels of the Corporation.Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex information to a broad audience through various formatsSkilled in use of Computer systems including Microsoft Excel and Word.  Business Warehouse and SAP experience a plus.
