The COO and CTO Finance team aims to support the Global COO/CTO organization to make robust business decisions based on our analysis and advices. The COO/CTO organization is at the core of delivering our strategy to build a leading digital bank. As approximately 40% of the cost base in ING is in our Tech and Operations this means you can truly make a difference.
The COO and CTO Finance team is a small department, which will allow you to get exposure to senior managers of COO/CTO. We think every day about how we can do things smarter, so we can spend our time on where we make the most impact: advising the business.
The opportunity
The current role for which we are looking for a new colleague is the domain of COO Finance. In this role you have quite some exposure with the CFO of ING and multiple CFOs within the different domains, with the main stakeholder being the head of COO Finance and the IT Lead for Finance. COO Finance delivers operations and change services for the Finance domain, including on regulatory initiatives around ESG, and with a strong focus on refreshing the technology used and staying safe, reliable and compliant.

Responsibilities
Sparring partner for senior management in strategic and tactical decision makingProvide reports and analysis in a timely manner to support management decisionsDesign and delivery of COO Finance and CTO Finance (non-)financials through Quarterly Performance Reviews, bi-annual Strategic Dialogues, Dynamic Planning, and Monthly AnalysisAdvise on all matters concerning operational efficiency, cost modelling, allocation, financial planning and controlFollow cost trends and adjust Rolling Forecast periodicallyPerform run-rate analysis, advise on cost efficiency opportunities and prepare business cases for Change programsReporting and analysis (vs. Plan) of Actual spend using standard dashboards and other toolsFull control of costs (P&L) and FTEs, including the review & approval of requisitions, cost charging and analytical reviewMaintain effective management of MA data-sources and monitor implementation of org. structure changes (i.e. Info Memos, RFAs)Review and advise on Balance Sheet positions, including restructuring and litigation provisions, asset capitalization, amortization and impairment testing as/when requiredStrong collaboration with finance colleagues, and non-finance stakeholders to ensure greater transparency, consistency, and insightHow to succeed

Current residency in the NetherlandsUniversity (Bachelor’s/Master’s) degree5+ years of professional working experience in a relevant position such as Finance Business Partner, Business controller, or compatibleKnowledge of banking operations and operational excellenceExcellent stakeholder management skills with strong interpersonal skills for interfacing with all levels of management.
