As Finance and Business Support Assistant Manager, you are responsible for performing highly specialized Finance and Accounting work required to maintain the hotel’s general ledger. Working under the direction of Director of Finance and Business Support, the Finance and Business Support Assistant Manager coordinates the daily activities of the accounting staff to quickly and accurately record the revenues, expenditures, assets, and liabilities of the hotel. The incumbent should be a highly motivated self-starter with supervisory, review, and proofing experience. The incumbent is also responsible for preparing annual financial statements and coordinating the hotel’s annual audit.
A little taste of your day-to-day:
+ Overall responsible for maintaining books of accounts, statutory records and financial files
+ Review daily records including general vouchers and ledger balances
+ Verify recorded transactions and report irregularities to the management
+ Responsible for ensuring recording of all transactions in accordance with generally accepted accounting practices and Nepal Financial Reporting Standards, and ensure proper documentation of all transactions
+ Managing payment requests from vendors
+ Properly allocate the regular accounting tasks among junior staffs
+ Responsible for liaising with the company’s auditors during audit
+ Manage all phases of Accounts Payable, Receivable and department budget
+ Prepare regular reports and summaries of accounting activities
+ Provide necessary assistance to Point of Sales outlets in relation to issuing of Tax invoices.
+ Forecast cash receipts and payments and prepare priority payment plan
+ Prepare Departments Profit and Loss account on monthly basis
+ Prepare monthly payroll sheet and disburse salaries on time in coordination with Human Resource Department
+ Prepare monthly MIS reports to be submitted to the management
+ Ensure timely payment of Statutory dues and compliance with tax laws of Nepal
+ Any other tasks relating to accounting functions as assigned by the management
Responsible for the preparation of monthly financial reports for the analysis by Director of Finance & Business Support
+ Wears uniform with pride and honor
+ Any other duties as assigned by the management
What we need from you:
+ Bachelor’s degree / higher education qualification / equivalent in Accounting and Finance
+ 3-5 years’ experience in hotel accounting or audit with at least one year in an Assistant Controller or similar supervisory role, or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience
+ Knowledge of accounting management duties e.g. negotiating hotel space and tenant leases; processing payroll; performing asset management duties; providing business projections, displacement analysis, preparing government reports, filing tax returns etc
+ Professional accounting or finance designation or certification preferred.
+ Must be fluent in spoken and written English
+ Must speak local language(s). Other languages preferred
