The Finance Controller plays a crucial role in supporting site and business unit management teams by offering financial insights and aiding in decision-making. This includes delivering accurate financial information, identifying areas for efficiency improvements, implementing best practices, and assessing capital investment needs. Their primary focus is on product costing and analytical aspects while serving as a financial partner to site management.


Responsibilities

SAP Cost Center Planning and Master Data                                                                                    

• Conduct Cost center planning process for legal entities in scope following the annual budget letter.                                                             

• Preparation of production cost center planning and activity rates using standard costing

• Perform the daily transactional activities, to meet the aligned SLA/KPIs/measurement.

• Coordinate or provide guidance on cost center assessments and allocations.

 

Manage daily operation and work on improvements and quality                                                                                   

• Enhance and document Controlling processes.                                                          

• Participate in the implementation of quality / continuous improvement projects (Lean Event) and be active in driving daily huddle meetings.   

• Support and initiate process improvement initiatives and related projects, be proactive and creative on contributing ideas for service improvement.

• Operational compliance on all regulatory, internal/external guidelines and support on audit activities.                                                  

• Ensure all the up-to-date operational procedures are maintained, documented and executed, all the operations adherence to the standardized process landscape.

 

Reporting & Month End Closing, Product costing & SAP Master Data                                                                                  

• Month-end closing responsibilities which include providing accurate up-to-date standard costing impact along with other operational variances and hence gross margin analyses during month close.

• Provide accurate up-to-date standard costing and hence gross margin information, working with production management and master data teams to ensure costing reflects appropriately.

• Provide product costing simulation support for raw material changes simulation, analysis critical for Business Units to implement selling price changes

• Support SAP material master accounting and costing view review, changes and creation, important for product costing.

• Monthly product costing is connected with inventory valuation, i.e. controller together with accounting coordinate the monthly and audit of inventory value by sites, plant code or warehouses.

 

Preparation, management and Review Analysis of Business Unit financials                                                                                    

• Review and guide production cost centers for accuracy and implement corrective measures as needed.

• Collaborate with Affiliates, Procurement and Operations to understand and plan for financial impacts.                                                              

• Working with affiliate sites on source plant cost changes and planning for variances impacting profitability.                                                          

• Manage detailed analysis of Operational metrics, ex. labor, utilities, freight.

• Proactively analyze current and past trends in key performance indicators, highlighting trends and analyzing causes of unexpected variances and forecast derivation.

                                   

 Finance & or cross department collaboration                                                                       

•Partner with Excellence group to work on site specific improvement projects

• Support transfer pricing process as needed.

• Assures collaboration within the Finance teams (Accounting, Controlling, Tax, Treasury)

• Ad Hoc activities as requested, cost / benefit analysis, “what-if” scenarios, long range planning.

• Corporate Presentations.


 

Requirements

Must have 3+ years controlling experience gained in a dynamic manufacturing environment                                                                                                                              Must have 3 + years of experience in SAP controlling, product costing and related master data. Must have good exposure on SAP Fi (Finance) and SAP CO( Costing)                       Project Management experience will be an advantage. Strong understanding of product costing concepts, variance analysis and performance controlling              Good knowledge of Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint
