Serves as the liaison between patient, family, internal and external health care providers. Qualifications: Required: + BS in Accounting, finance or a related field; appropriate finance experience may be substituted for educational requirement + Minimum four (4) years of experience in a healthcare setting, business office or academic institution Preferred: + Experience with Quickbooks, Peoplesoft and Zoll emsCharts Essential Functions: + Familiarity with vendor management, vendor invoices & vendor payments + understand the patient charts, quality assurance auditing of charting + Familiarity with handling patient billing complaints that are escalated by Revenue Cycle Specialists + Maintain proper documentation and record keeping of activities and oversight of all non-patient billings + Must have excellent oral and written communication skills and a highly professional demeanor in person and on the telephone + Must be computer-literate with proficiency and working knowledge of database and reporting tools such as Microsoft Word, Excel, etc. + Reviews and analyzes performance and PCR compliance in Zoll emsCharts + Performs audits and follow-up on outstanding charts + Displays flexibility in prioritizing assignments Other Duties: Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
