Try new things, learn new skills and discover what you excel at—all from Day One. **Job Description** Responsible for working on big data/analytics projects that gather and integrate large volumes of data, performs analysis, interprets results and develops actionable insights and recommendations for use across the company. Acquires data from multiple data sources in order to perform analysis. Identifies, analyzes and interprets trends or patterns in complex data in order to provide answers to business questions as well as provide recommendations for action. Interprets data and analyze results using various statistical techniques and tools. This role is crucial in helping finance organizations make data-driven decisions, ensure regulatory compliance, and improve operational efficiency. **Essential Functions** _Data Integration and Management:_ - Develop and maintain data pipelines to ingest, process, and store financial data from various sources (internal and external). - Integrate structured and unstructured data from multiple systems such as accounting software, trading platforms, financial databases, and market feeds. _Database Design and Optimization:_ - Build and optimize relational and non-relational databases (e.g., SQL, NoSQL) to store financial data. - Ensure efficient querying and retrieval of financial data to support reporting and analytics. _Data Quality and Governance:_ - Implement data quality checks to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and completeness. - Establish and enforce data governance policies to ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards (e.g., GDPR, SOX). _Collaboration with Stakeholders:_ - Work with data scientists, financial analysts, and business intelligence teams to understand data needs and ensure data is accessible and usable for analysis. - Collaborate with software engineers and IT teams to ensure seamless integration with other business systems. _Automation and Optimization:_ - Automate repetitive data processing tasks to improve operational efficiency. - Continuously monitor and improve the performance of data pipelines and systems to handle large volumes of financial data. _Reporting and Analytics Support:_ - Provide financial data to support the generation of reports, dashboards, and other visualizations. - Work with finance teams to ensure the data is structured for effective analysis and decision-making. _Security and Compliance:_ - Ensure that all financial data is stored securely, adhering to relevant security and privacy standards. - Monitor and implement appropriate access controls to sensitive financial information. _Troubleshooting and Support:_ - Troubleshoot issues related to data pipelines, databases, and data integrity. - Provide support for resolving data-related issues in financial applications or reporting systems. **Location Expectations** The role offers a hybrid/flexible schedule, which means there's an in-office expectation of 3 or more days per week and the flexibility to work outside the office location for the other days. **Basic Qualifications** - Bachelor's degree in a related field, or equivalent work experience - Five to seven years of statistical and/or data analytics experience **Preferred Skills/Experience** - Proficiency in programming languages like Python, SQL, or Scala. - Strong experience with On-Prem and Cloud data warehouse solutions (e.g., Snowflake, Amazon Redshift, RDS, Oracle, MS SQL). - Familiarity with data pipeline tools (e.g., Apache Kafka, Airflow, ETL frameworks). - Knowledge of cloud technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud). - Strong understanding of data security and compliance regulations. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $105,400.00 - $124,000.00 - $136,400.00 U.S. Bank will consider qualified applicants with arrest or conviction records for employment.
