Finance Director, Global Supply Chain & Procurement - Chicago or Decatur, IL.
Position Summary:
The Finance Director, Global Supply Chain & Procurement will provide leadership and partnership within global supply chain and procurement to meet financial targets by driving business outcomes from strategic initiatives. The Finance Director will translate supply chain and procurement improvements to financial results and develop processes to translate and clearly communicate bottom line impact which will drive business decisions. He/she will ensure supply chain and procurement strategy is aligned with key financial business strategies across all business units.
Job Responsibilities
Responsibilities span the following:Partner with SVP, Global Supply Chain (GSC) and E2E & Procurement leadership teams to develop strategic plan and provide counsel on opportunities to course correct throughout the year.Ensure supply chain strategy is aligned with key financial business strategies across all business units.Use analytics to understand and communicate causes of variances and present analysis in a simple, concise easy to consume format.Participate in S&OP program development to ensure finance alignment is included in S&OP discussions and decisionsChallenge leaders to think strategically and allocate resources in pursuit of organizational prioritiesTranslate supply chain improvements to financial results and develop processes to translate and clearly communicate bottom line impact which will drive new business decisionsManage the monthly and quarterly reporting processes in conjunction with financial planning and analysis for GSC and executive leadershipLead annual and strategic planning cycle and build the business plan, including: operating, capital and financial componentsPartner with leaders in all Business Units to ensure Supply Chain plans are fully aligned to include advice and input on: strategic planning, analysis, working capital, costs and capital investment initiativesProvide financial insights, analysis, and recommendations as inputs to decision makingIdentify risks and opportunities and provides input on recommendations to addressIdentify risks and opportunities and provides input on recommendations to addressSupport 1ADM implementations as they pertain to Supply Chain Strategy, Plan to Deliver and other Global Supply Chain touchpointsEducational and Experience Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Economics or Business Administration; MBA preferredMinimum 10 years of experience in a similar position in large multinationals and ideally agricultural commodity business close to manufacturing, logistics and distribution operationsExperience working in an organization with centralized services functions providing global business services or shared services activitiesAbility to work in a challenging environment with multiple, changing and competing prioritiesResults and continuous improvement oriented; ability to drive initiatives and lead changesStrong problem solving skills with a proactive and pragmatic approach; willingness to roll-up sleeves and make things happen; strong follow skills through and detail orientedProven experience in finance integration and handling complexityMobility to travel as neededEffective oral and written communication skills as well as ability to work with various levels of office and operational contacts; good presentation with an ability to communicate clearlyPositive, ‘can do’ hands on attitude with good influencing and stakeholder management skillsFunctional experience:Prior experience within ADM or in the industry is desired, as understanding ADM’s complex business model will be an accelerator in the learning processMinimum of 8 years of experience in financial planning, reporting and analysis; conversant with Corporate Finance conceptsSolid analytical, data analysis and valuation skillsCapital budgeting and Investment experience including partnership opportunities and strategic investments. M&A experience desiredExperience with due diligence, business modeling, forecasting, and financial analysisCore Competencies:
