Finance Director - Altoona - Hybrid
This role is responsible for managing and optimizing sales, direct margin, and manufacturing margin for all product lines produced in Altoona. The role also oversees optimizing the related balance sheet and cash flow metrics, primarily focusing on accounts receivable, accounts payable, inventory, and capital spending. Provide leadership in preparation of annual budget, monthly forecasts and strategic plan, and related variance analysis vs. actuals. Implement forecasting & financial planning “best practices” based on previous experience. This role is a key leader of the monthly S&OP process ensuring market demand shifts have been factored into plant production planning, in addition to providing financial leadership and guidance for strategic projects impacting the plant. This is a high visibility position that will allow significant opportunity for growth within Gilbarco Veeder-Root and Vontier. **Key Responsibilities** + Drive the monthly sales forecast process, annual budget and strategic plan (improve forecasting processes, develop standard work). This includes the creation of customer level and product level forecasts to better enhance the accuracy of the margin and OP forecasting. + Creation of necessary financial reporting and related financial analysis as needed by business & finance leadership.Provide financial recommendations based on analytical modeling and scenario planning to drive results.Create new or enhanced financial tools as needed. + Drive margin enhancement from order & revenue generation ideas through manufacturing costs/variances. + Drive the S&OP process for the Altoona site. Requires close coordination with sales forecasting and operations ability to build. + Special projects for both North America and global product lines, including M&A and special partnerships to drive growth. + Participate on accelerated product development/new product introduction teams to provide financial justification, analysis, financial planning (expense and capital), and project cost control. + Oversee operational accounting practices.Partner with shared services to ensure Altoona has efficient accounting and oversight of working capital. + Primary financial business partner of the Altoona Plant Manager and commercial leadership of Altoona products.Provide financial support and direction to help functional leaders achieve financial goals. + Upkeep and creative agility as ERP advancements or issues arise within the Finance realm. This is a partnership with the Altoona leadership staff. **Skills, Educational Background and Experience** + BS Degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent years of experience; MBA preferred. + 10+ years with financial analysis experience, preferably with manufacturing/cost accounting experience. + Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) is beneficial, not a requirement. + Previous budgeting and forecasting experience as well as strong accounting skills for understanding the creation and flow of financial statements. + Proficient in Microsoft Office, with advanced knowledge of Excel. + Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including presentation skills. + Ability to communicate and explain complex financial issues to non-financial professionals and to interact well with all levels within the organization. + Knowledge of various reporting systems preferred (Hyperion, Business Intelligence Tools). + Strong leadership skills and ability to positively influence both direct reports & dotted line partners in Operations & Sales. + Highest standards of accuracy and precision; highly organized. + Articulate with excellent verbal and written communication skills.Comfortable presenting to Senior Leadership. + Ability to think creatively, highly-driven and self-motivated. + Demonstrated ability to roll-up sleeves and work with team members in a hands-on management capacity. + Customer-focused. + A demonstrated commitment to high professional ethical standards and a diverse workplace. + Ability to adapt to a fast paced continually changing business and work environment while managing multiple priorities **WHO IS GILBARCO VEEDER-ROOT** Gilbarco Veeder-Root, a Vontier company, is the worldwide technology leader for retail and commercial fueling operations, offering the broadest range of integrated solutions from the forecourt to the convenience store and head office.
