Job Summary Responsible for the financial planning, internal reporting, budget and forecasting for assigned areas in the sector. Incumbent is guided by thorough knowledge of financial accounting and procedures and policies of departments and facility. RESPONSIBILITIES: * Maintains flow and quality of work to assure timely completion of assigned workload and adherence to standards of quality control. * Reviews and evaluates existing methods, systems, programs, practices, and procedures; develops and recommends change to Regional Director of Operations. * Implements or guides implementation of new and/or modified methods, systems, programs, practices and/or procedures. * Oversee all accounting activity including financial statements and variance reports prepared in a timely and accurate manner. * Ensures accounting conforms to generally accepted accounting principles and follows contract terms or site requirements. * Leads annual budget process with support from coordinators and directors across multiple sites to ensure consistency across the system. * Reconciles accounts monthly and maintain categorize expenses. * Training and development of any accounting and/or clerical staff as needed within MSHS. * Provides financial support to operations including Site Directors, Coordinators or Regional staff. * Assists with preparation of cost forecasts, with operations input, including keeping in constant communication with operations to recognize change in trends. * Performs a variety of supervisory and managerial functions. * Oversees invoice approval process for sites according to Client terms and ensures consistency throughout the system. * Maintain clean and safe work environment; performs job safely. * Interviews applicants and recommends qualified individuals for hire. * Prepares performance evaluations for assigned personnel, as well as disciplining reports when necessary. * Performs departmental and other related duties as required. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. * EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree (B.A) with accounting or business emphasis from four-year college or university; or related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. The ability to read, comprehend, and transmit complicated detailed instructions in writing and verbally. Must also have adequate knowledge of basic computer skills. MBA preferred.
