Job Summary

The Director, Operations Finance – Industrial Coatings will be responsible for strategy setting, performance management and financial consolidation for all Operations related matters for the Industrial Coatings Business. The position will be a Finance Business partner to the VP Operations and interface with all levels within Operations, Supply Chain, Procurement, BU Finance (Business Unit Finance) and Corporate Finance Teams. The role will provide management with the necessary data, analysis and insight to support decision making (operating, accounting and business decisions). The Director, Operations Finance – Industrial Coatings will report directly to the Vice President, Global FP&A and Operations Finance and will be based in one of the large Axalta locations in North America.

Work Location: This role requires a hybrid onsite work presence at Axalta’s global headquarters in Philadelphia, PA and is eligible for relocation.

Key Responsibilities:

Participate in key short-term and long-term strategic planning for Global BU operations.Oversee the detailed financial planning, reporting, and analysis of our manufacturing and related costs globally, providing in-depth analysis to senior management.Provide detailed insight at segment and region level for BU manufacturing costs.Partner with all relevant manufacturing sites to provide pertinent data and insights to establish operational and financial goal alignment and drive towards results of the BU.Work closely with Operations and Procurement organizations within the S&OP process, to assess financial impacts of supply plans.Provide guidance and own all financial performance measurements for Engineering and Capital projects for the BU manufacturing sites. Ensure compliance with corporate guidelines and performance expectations.Drive execution and track the performance of cost savings projects at manufacturing and related facilities.Drive process improvements in operations finance area and help develop standard policies together with Corporate while taking into account best practices across all manufacturing Axalta sites.Project-related planning, project management, financial modeling, and analysis.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree from a leading institution in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Engineering, or similar quantitative discipline.Minimum of 10-15+ years of work experience in financial planning & analysis, corporate finance, business analysis, or accounting.Experience working for a leading global manufacturing business in a public company or private equity backed company environment.Previous multiyear Operations finance experience.Strong knowledge of financial accounting, cost accounting and corporate finance.Exceptional financial acumen including strong analytical, financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting skills.A proven track record as an effective business partner with a strong internal customer service focus.Strong problem-solving and process improvement skills.Strong oral and written communication skills, including the ability to present complex concepts in a clear and concise manner to all levels of the organization.Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.Experience with SAP and business intelligence / data visualization tools (SAP Business Warehouse, SAP Business Objects, Tableau and / or Microsoft Power BI) a plus.Travel required: approx. 20% (domestic & international).
