Finance Intern
Westchester Jewish Community Services (WJCS) is seeking a motivated student intern to provide essential administrative support to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and the Finance Department. This is a paid internship with a minimum commitment of 10 weeks, with the possibility of extension. The position is based at our headquarters in White Plains, NY, and requires a commitment of 3-4 days per week, Monday to Thursday. About Us: WJCS is a leading non-profit organization, founded in 1943, and is now the largest provider of licensed outpatient community mental health services in Westchester County. We offer innovative programs and compassionate care to over 20,000 individuals from diverse backgrounds throughout the region. Internship Responsibilities: + Sort and distribute department mail + Maintain digital files and records + Assist in coordinating and processing contracts and financial documents + Provide support for transaction processing in financial systems (Intacct/BILL) + Prepare letters and documents for the annual audit + Obtain and track insurance certificates + General administrative support for the CFO, including drafting business letters, emails, forms, preparing expense reports, and scheduling meetings + Order office supplies and manage inventory + Other tasks as assigned Qualifications: + Currently pursuing a degree in Finance or Accounting (completion of sophomore or junior year) + Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) + Strong attention to detail + Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment + Basic understanding of Finance department functions WJCS INC.
