Corporate Finance Intern

The corporate finance intern is a strong individual contributor and is responsible for day-to-day finance department functions within Ashley’s Corporate Finance Department. This position provides exposure to all Ashley companies including manufacturing, retail, distribution and online selling. The corporate accounting intern applies both technical accounting knowledge and analytical skills to their work.

What Will You Do?

Analyze and maintain accurate general ledger accounts.Prepare and compile financial data in a timely manner to support established schedules and deadlines.Prepare journal entries and supporting schedules for closing.Reconcile assigned accounts including preparation of appropriate documentation working with individuals in Accounting, Accounts Payable, and Cash Teams to resolve reconciling itemsAnalyze records of financial transactions to determine accuracy and completeness of entries.

What Do You Need?

Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fieldKnowledge of general accounting principlesHighly Proficient in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPS, charts, etc)Ability to continue interning during the school yearA positive, can-do, willing to learn attitude!
