Mastronardi Produce, is currently seeking a Summer Finance Intern to join our team. The essential function of this position is to collect, analyze, forecast, plan, and report on product procurement. The candidate must demonstrate the ability to think along conceptual, strategic, and practice lines, add value, and deliver results. Develop and track key performance indicators that will serve the critical need to enhance understanding of daily activity inside the business and improve decision-making.

Primary Responsibilities:

Collect, analyze, evaluate, and report data to increase the match of supply and demand, and to increase procurement forecast accuracy. Create Reports for Grower Liaisons & Procurement Directors. Maintain Grower Income Statements. Interact with both functional area members and IT employees to ensure accurate reporting out of our Grower’s Database Collection Website. Monitor Grower Pack vs. Bulk deliveries, to ensure accurate, independent reporting on grower adherence to pack schedules, plant dates, seed drop dates, etc. Generate ad-hoc reporting in support of ongoing business decisions and initiatives.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:

Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university Pursuing or receiving an undergraduate degree in Finance or a related field of study Local residence in the metro Detroit area; relocation or housing stipends will not be available. Highly proficient in MS Word, Excel, and Access; VBA experience a plus Communications, customer service, change management, and process improvement skills. Proficient in analysis of financial and operating information to facilitate decision-making and recommending actions to improve performance. Experience operating in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work independently. Ability to synthesize disparate information and deliver meaningful insights. Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail. Must have manual dexterity to perform computer skills Complete a background and drug test screening
