Finance Manager

Provide vision, direction, and management for the Company’s accounting operations:  internal and external financial reporting, cash flow management, budgeting, forecasting, and payroll.

Duties and Responsibilities

Calculates and collects complex billings. Analyzes billing data for trends and exceptions. Creates accurate invoices and billing schedules and posts incoming payments and related transactions. Uploads and processes billing and payment files into the corporate financial systems.Work with an outside auditing firm during annual audit. Assist Month End close, as required. Month-end close & Quarter-end reporting: Ensure all deadlines related to monthly and quarterly close activities are met.Own AOP process with cross-functional stakeholders. Develop Executive level reporting mechanisms to explain monthly results vs budget. Identify levers to assist business teams in closing gaps to budget.Serves as the strategic financial advisor to business functional leaders and assures that financial targets are met with identification of business opportunities and risks.Drive and support continuous improvement and change management efforts across the organization.Partner with business to develop margin improvement plan, forecasts, standardized reporting, and complete ad hoc analysis for senior leadership. Ensures appropriate contingencies are in place to address business risksResponsible for consolidation, review, and presentation of all finance activities for manufacturing, including development of long and short-range business plans, financial forecast, and financial reporting.Partner with Manufacturing and Operations team to develop quarterly forecasts and annual budget. Review work order variances with the production team.Analyze and reconcile COGS and inventory transactions for accuracy and completeness in support of monthly close reporting and prepare required supporting documentation.Enhance the financial acumen of business partners. Influences business decisions and oversees processes to ensure proper controls are maintainedIdentifies and proposes process improvements as appropriate.

Education, Training, and Experience:

BS in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration required; MBA preferredMinimum of 5 years of experience in Finance/Accounting2+ years cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment. Preferably Medical Device industryStrong business acumen, interpersonal, communication and negotiation skillsAbility to influence cross-functional team membersMotivated self-starter who can effectively work under pressure and manage multiple prioritiesPossesses the ability to lead cross-functional teams and effectively work through othersTeam player who manages collaboratively with the ability to influence management, in some cases without authorityExhibits strong analytical, written and verbal communication skillsMedical device manufacturers experience preferred

Physical and Environmental Considerations:

Must be able to sit/stand for long periods of time.Required use of standard office equipment including laptop, phone, copier, etc.Typical office environment.Must be able to walk through the factory environment safely.
