This finance position is based in the iconic Merchandise Mart in downtown Chicago and will be part of Motorola Mobility’s Finance Team. As a Finance Manager in the Mobile Business Group (MBG) FP&A group, you will provide global FP&A support to the MBG Business Unit’s Director of Finance and the VP of MBG AI, Ecosystem and Monetization group and VP of Trademark and Brand Licensing.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Finance lead for Software and Service Monetization, AI Services, Ecosystem (IoT) and Trademark and Brand Licensing business.Lead Annual Plan, Monthly Outlook process and Accounting close for all areas under your scope. Support the Software and Service Monetization business in the strategic planning of the short and long-term forecast, with a path to double the revenue by 2025. Collaborate with the Trademark and Brand Licensing leader to secure future revenue thru expansion of categories and licensees.Partner with Business Development team to build the business case for each new opportunityFinance lead for contract review process of all new and existing partners and/or agreements ensuring the key terms are favorable to Motorola and that the structure maximizes revenue for the company.Manage, track and communicate the Product Structure.Assist in the Annual Plan process for the Product P&L’s and prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports by product to track and measure financial performance.Manage two financial analysts, who directly support the areas under your scope.Assist in adhoc reporting and/or analysis requests and participate in adhoc projects.Minimum Requirements:Bachelors in Finance or Accounting10+ years’ experience working in a finance functionProficient in Excel, BPC, PowerBi, Sharepoint, Google sheet, Google presentation and SAPPeople management experience Preferred Requirements:Possess strong analytical abilities; prior experience working with large data setsProven ability to work in a cross-functional, fast-paced environmentHands-on experience working with contracts, business cases and financial analysis. Experience communicating project goals/challenges to all levels of an organizationHands-on experience working with multi-million dollar budgetsOur Chicago office has transitioned to a hybrid work environment supporting 3 days onsite and 2 days remote.
