Finance Manager

The Timberlands Finance Manager will support Weyerhaeuser's Western Timberlands Business and the Finance and Planning organization by developing Timberlands financial reports and metrics, assisting in the Western Timberlands budgeting and forecasting processes, and supporting Operational Excellence initiatives in collaboration with corporate and business partners to improve the financial results of our Timberlands Operations.

The Timberlands Finance Manager is an integral part of Weyerhaeuser’s Timberlands Finance group, which is responsible for financial planning and analysis on behalf of our Western Timberland operations located across 3 million acres. The position is located at our Timberlands office in Seattle, WA, and will support our Western Timberlands Regions and the Harvesting, Transportation, and Engineering Functions.

Roles Responsibilities:

Develop and support Timberlands KPI’s, financial reports, and analysis tools that drive improved decision making and operational excellence.Support the monthly forecasting and annual budgeting processes through frontline meetings with business partners, critical thinking, and consolidation and analysis of information across Western Timberlands.Champion data driven analysis within the organization by using empirical evidence and critical thinking to ask key business questions and improve business performance.Enhance the insights and timeliness of financial analysis across the segment through innovation and process improvement.Help maintain and govern standard financial internal controls across the Western Timberlands business to eliminate the opportunity for fraud.Prepare presentations supporting monthly business reviews, senior management meetings, and board of director meetings.Collaborate across departments including HR, legal, accounting and information technology to identify and implement systems improvements to increase the efficiency of financial processes across the business segment.Other projects in support of the Western Timberlands Finance team.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or Management Information Systems with additional education encouraged.4 years of experience in financial planning and analysis, accounting, treasury, banking, finance or similar fields

Skills and Capabilities:

You are an expert in Excel (experience with Power BI and SQL is a plus)You can effectively and concisely communicate analysis, both written and verbally at all levels of the organizationYou have experience with financial planning, general ledger and reporting applications and systems (e.g. SAP, Oracle, Hyperion/EPM)You have strong analytical skills and an understanding of critical financial concepts, including experience interpreting a PL, communicating accounting and audit standards, and understanding net present value and internal rate of returnYou are both a team player and individual contributor, willing to do even the most basic task if it helps the team get the job doneYou take pride in getting the details right and can produce high-quality work for senior leaders on tight deadlinesYou are proactively look for ways to improve accuracy, drive efficiency and support others without being asked

You can build strong relationships and partner with subject matter experts across multiple functions to deliver best-in-class results

What We Offer:

Compensation: This role is eligible for our annual merit-increase program, and we are targeting a salary range of $95,000 - $142,500 based on your level of skills, qualifications and experience. You will also be eligible for our Annual Incentive Program, which offers a cash bonus targeting 10% of base pay. Potential plan funding may range from zero to two times that target.

Paid Time Off or Vacation: We provide eligible employees who are scheduled to work 25 hours or more per week with 3-weeks of paid vacation to use during your first year of employment. In addition, after being employed for six months, eligible employees begin to accrue vacation for future use. We also recognize eleven paid holidays per year, providing a total of 88 holiday hours and paid parental leave for all full-time employees.
