Finance Manager
Overview CORT events is seeking a full-time Finance Manager in Las Vegas, Nevada. CORT Events caters to trade show contractors and event professionals, providing them with rental furniture and decor for various types of events such as industry specific trade shows, corporate meetings, conferences, and gatherings. We offer a wide range of products including seating, tables, and accessories, as well as design and planning services. The Finance Manager is a key business lead that oversees traditional commercial finance duties and is also responsible for creating Business Intelligence (BI) dashboards and performing intensive data modeling and data insight/data interrogation activities. This position is responsible for the accuracy of all financial data and leads CORT Events’ monthly close procedures. It also interprets financial data, providing analysis and recommendations for improvements to senior management. Salary: $110,000 / year. This is an onsite position performed from the CORT Events Corporate office 5 days/week. Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the US. Assists in the development and implementation of goals, policies, priorities, and procedures relating to financial management, accounting, and cash. Leads and oversees the contributions of five accounting and billing team members, serving as a mentor to develop their skills and business acumen. Creates BI dashboards and performs intensive data modeling and data insight/data interrogation activities. Interprets financial data, providing analysis and recommendations for improvements to senior management. Gathers insights from various business leaders to summarize and communicate differences from budgets and forecasts and develops strategies to remedy gaps. Participates in commercial activities, including reviewing and negotiating contracts and decisioning extension of credit to clients. Directs the maintenance of general and subsidiary ledgers, accounts receivable aging, key account reconciliations, depreciation schedules, asset landed cost information, and operating expenses. Helps team members outside finance to understand and navigate accounting and finance policies and internal controls. Qualifications Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance. Minimum of four years of related experience in multi-location general ledger accounting, financial statement audit, corporate or commercial finance, accounts payable, or accounts receivable. Minimum of two years of previous experience as a people manager or team lead. Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Business Intelligence tools.
