Summary
ASM Global, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities, has an excellent and immediate opening for a Finance Manager at NRG Park in Houston, Texas. NRG Park is in the fast lane for opportunity and excitement. We are a one-of-a-kind premier facility with four major venues within one giant park. NRG Center (one million+ sq. ft. Convention Center), NRG Stadium (home of the Houston Texans and The Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo), NRG Astrodome (“The” Astrodome), and NRG Arena. We are seeking a unique Finance Manager to join our team. Under general supervision, the Finance Manager directs, manages, communicates and administers daily activities of the accounting function at NRG Park. Also, this position acts as a liaison between the facility and clients, ensuring all clients’ requirements are met and facility rules, regulations and policies are adhered to.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Include the following:
+ Supervises Finance Department Staff Accountants and other accounting functions including Accounts Receivable.
+ Assigns and coordinates event settlements and event reporting within Finance Department.
+ Serves as primary day to day contact for Tenant Finance Departments.
+ Ensures high quality of communication and coordination between Finance Department and key internal and external event stakeholders.
+ Supervises the monthly accounting cycle and general ledger account reconciliations.
+ Assists with preparation of financial statements for the client and ASM Global corporate including monthly statements, annual budgets and reports.
+ Coordinates preparation of external audit materials and serves as primary audit contact.
+ May perform other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Directly supervises employees in the Finance Department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with ASM Global's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding; disciplining employees in conjunction with Human Resources; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

+ Know and apply standard accounting principles, financial control procedures, computerized accounting systems/software, and financial management.

Education and/or Experience
+ B. S. in Accounting or Finance from a four-year college or university.
+ At least 3 to 5 years’ experience in public accounting and/or financial management at a supervisory level or as department head.
Skills and Abilities
+ Extensive knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and job costing concepts.
+ A self-starter with a strong work ethic that works independently with minimal supervision.
+ Demonstrates the skills and abilities for producing highly accurate financial results.
+ Excellent math skills: high aptitude for accrual-based accounting processes.
+ Excellent communication, interpersonal skills and organizational ability.
+ The ability to work with and maintain highly confidential information is required.
+ Effective supervisory and management skills.
Computer Skills
+ Operate a personal computer with Windows 10 using MS Office 365 Apps including Excel and Word and other standard office equipment.
+ Extensive knowledge of accounting software, Microsoft Office applications, time labor management systems and payroll processing software.
+ Strong foundation in Excel.
Other Qualifications
+ Be licensed to operate a motor vehicle in the United States.
