WHAT YOU’LL NEED
Maximise your full potential within JLR’s Group Reporting and Accounting team as a Finance Manager. You will provide specialist support for teams including treasury, tax, pensions, sustainability and other Corporate Strategy functions focusing on all aspects of technical accounting and financial reporting processes within a complex and expanding global business environment. You will develop strong network including contact with the Finance Leadership Team, Operational team, group legal entities and operations, and group auditors and will help enhance the quality & effectiveness of reporting events.
This role provides opportunities to drive quality and value add reporting, proactively manage and continually improve all aspects of technical accounting, controls and compliance in external & internal reporting.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities
Developing and leveraging understanding of treasury, tax, pensions and corporate strategy to identify key areas of reporting risks and judgements Proactively collaborating with finance and operational teams to provide reporting insight on new strategic areas, business change or areas of complexity to drive quality and “value add” reporting Reviewing methodologies and calculations connected with the most significant accounting areas, often including management estimates and judgements. Facilitating engagement and accountability in functional reporting by providing timely management reporting data to help support business performance Effectively managing issues with key stakeholders (relevant internal JLR team, Group Auditors, TML, etc.) through identification, investigation and resolution of technical accounting matters
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
Experience in finance leadership roles in multinational, multi-function organisations. Strong accounting technical expertise, including IFRS. Public Limited Company reporting and / or SEC experience Knowledge of working in a control matrix environment Strong technical and practical knowledge and experience with International Financial Reporting Standards
