Finance Manager
**Overview** **Job Title: Client Finance Manager** **Department:** **Reports To: Account Director** **Location: Santa Clara, CA** **FLSA Status: Exempt** **POSITION SUMMARY** The Client Finance Manager is responsible for all areas relating to day-to-day operations of the accounting department and financial reporting. This position will be responsible for developing and maintaining accounting principles, practices and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial statements for ABM client partner. This position addresses deadlines and a multitude of accounting activities including overseeing the processing of day-to-day transactions, general ledger preparation, financial reporting, yearend audit preparation and the support of budget and forecast activities for the ABM client partner. **ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES** + Obtain and maintain a thorough understanding of the financial reporting and general ledger structure. + Ensure an accurate and timely monthly and year end close, including preparation of reporting package and related supporting schedules. + Accounts Receivable and Collections, alongside Operations teams + Ensure the monthly and quarterly account reconciliations are performed in a timely and accurate manner. + Participate in the annual planning process with client partner. + Supports budget and forecasting activities with client partner. + Collaborates with the other client partner managers to support overall client goals and objectives. + Responds to inquiries from the client finance leadership team and other client partner managers regarding financial results and special reporting requests. + Advises client partner and onsite ABM staff regarding the handling of non-routine reporting transactions. + Work with the client partner finance team to ensure a clean and timely year end audit. + Supervise onsite staff to ensure all client partner transactions are processed accurately and in a timely manner. + Monitors and analyzes department workload to develop more efficient procedures and use of resources while maintaining a high level of accuracy for client partner. + Assist in development and implementation of new procedures and features to enhance the workflow of the onsite department. + Work with each direct report to establish goals and objectives for each year and monitor and advise them on the progress to enhance the professional development of staff. + Other job-related duties as assigned. **EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE** + BA/BS in Business with an emphasis in Accounting or Finance preferred + Four to six years prior experience in the accounting/ financial reporting/general ledger area. Experience working in a construction or services firm is preferred. + Prior experience managing multiple staff members. + Advanced Computer skills and able to thrive in a fast-paced setting. + Experience with JDE or other large, automated accounting system a plus. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. **Pay: $100,000 - $134,000** The pay listed is the salary range for this position, an estimate and not guaranteed.
