Finance Manager

As the Manager of Finance, you are a key contributor responsible for supporting the oversight of financial activities, ensuring the fiscal health, sustainability, and growth of our organization. In this role, you will assist in managing the Financial Accounting Department, participate in strategic financial planning, and provide valuable financial analysis to support informed decision-making. As a partner to senior leadership, you will help establish and maintain financial controls, ensure compliance with applicable regulations, and assist in the development and execution of budgets, forecasts, and financial planning processes. This role is instrumental in identifying and mitigating financial risks and capitalizing on opportunities for optimization. The responsibilities of the position include the following:Assist in directing and managing the Financial Accounting Department, fostering a high-performance team environment.Contribute to the development and implementation of strategic financial plans aligned with organizational goals. Assist in establishing and maintaining internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure regulatory compliance.Support all audit and internal control processes, including expense and invoicing reviews.Assist in establishing performance targets and support the management of accounting and finance personnel, including management accountants and internal auditors.Conduct in-depth financial analysis to evaluate performance and identify potential risks and opportunities.Assist in developing and managing comprehensive budgets, forecasts, and financial planning processes in collaboration with operational department leaders.Prepare and present detailed financial reports, including P&L statements, variance analysis, and ad hoc reports, to senior leadership.Analyze cost pools (Over/Under Calc) to determine application accuracy and recommend adjustments. Oversee Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) analysis to accurately measure direct production costs.Ensure compliance with all applicable financial laws, regulations, and accounting standards. Assist in coordination with external financial entities, including auditors and regulatory bodies.Maintain up to date knowledge of relevant industry regulations and ensure compliance.Oversee the collection, organization, and analysis of financial data, including revenue cycle, sales, and other financial activities.Assist in the planning, approval, and supervision of the deployment of financial systems and processes to enhance data management and analysis capabilities.Manage the Calculation of inventory standard cost leveraging material and material overhead standards.Provide strategic financial insights and recommendations to senior leadership.Identify and analyze trends in company spending and revenue, recommending solutions to address problem areas.Collaborate with operational departments to optimize financial performance and packaging oversight. Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field required.Master’s degree in business administration (MBA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification strongly preferred.Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive experience in financial management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.Proven experience in financial planning, analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.Demonstrated experience in managing and developing financial teams.Experience with financial software and ERP systems (North Scope experience is highly desirable).Seafood/Maritime Industry specific experience is a strong plus. Work Environment and ScheduleThis position is for our Seattle, WA corporate office. Open to hybrid (for the right candidate), would require at least 3 days per week in the office. Physical Demands

The employee is occasionally required to sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, squat, push, twist, and pull. Salary Disclosure The typical base pay range for this role is $135,000-$154,477 per year. Individual base pay depends on numerous factors, in addition to primary work location, such as complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills.
