Position Overview:

To support our expanding business, we are seeking a highly skilled Finance Manager to join our team in Sacramento, California. The Rolling Stock business unit is the North American market leader in the production of passenger rail vehicles. As a pivotal leader within the organization, the Finance Manager will play a crucial role in driving process improvements and advancing commercial initiatives.

The ideal candidate will add significant value by ensuring financial accuracy and integrity, leading key projects, presenting KPIs, and acting as a trusted commercial partner to Senior Management. This position is perfect for an ambitious professional looking to take the next step in their career.


What your day may look like:

Prepare comprehensive forecasts and budgets for operating expenses, free cash flow, and headcount.Develop and implement detailed reporting for variance analysis on costs, recoveries, and productive hours.Leverage data to identify and drive business improvements.Prepare and present insightful financial reports to Senior Management.Ensure strict adherence to financial guidelines and completion of audit controls.Generate innovative ideas and take ownership of implementing new process improvements.Foster strong collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.Lead ad-hoc projects aimed at enhancing business performance on commercial topics.


What you will need to be successful in this role:

A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a closely related field. Having an advanced degree will make you stand out!A minimum of 5-8 years of progressive experience in Finance, with a proven track record of success in financial management and analysis.Exceptional analytical and presentation skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and communicate insights effectively to senior management.Proficiency with SAP and Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Advanced Excel skills are highly desirable.Demonstrated experience with data visualization and analytical tools such as Tableau, Thinkcell, Alteryx, or similar software.Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.A proactive and innovative mindset, with a commitment to continuous improvement.

This position in located in Sacramento, CA. The salary range for this position is $143,600- $181,000. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications and premium geographic location.
