Job Description

The IP portfolio supports Philips’ product divisions in achieving their business goals. For monetization, IP&S also actively seeks opportunities to license Philips technologies to third parties for monetization.

The License Administration Department (LAD) is responsible for registering and managing license agreements with third parties, as well as for the associated financial administration. These processes are built around GALA, an internally developed license administration ERP system managed by the Philips IT Business Parter. As a Finance Officer S&P, you will play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between LAD and IT.


Your role:

GALA system and quality management, including monitoring and flagging issues.

Provide system support for GALA users.

Understand LAD processes to advise on internal process improvements and propose continuous GALA system enhancements.

Collaborate with the IT Business Parter to define software improvements and fixes, perform user acceptance testing and manage deployment to the GALA production environment.

Execute IT ICS-Sox controls and prepare documentation for the GALA IT application audit.

Pro-actively support the Manager LAD in his role as functional owner of GALA.

Administer and ensure the accuracy of procedures and work instructions within the License Administration team.

You are a part of:

You will be part of a dynamic team of 8 professionals in the License Administration Department, reporting directly to the Manager LAD. The team is based in Eindhoven, where you will work in the office at least 3 days a week, with the option to work remotely for up to 2 days and enjoy flexible working hours.

You're the right fit if you have the following skills and experience:

A proactive and collaborative team player, with reliable and dependable work ethic.

Strong analytical thinking to drive improvements in the LAD process.

Determination to achieve excellent results.

Pragmatic, flexible and hands-on approach with a customer service focus.

Excellent communication skills.

Functional application management, with experience in financial systems, acting as the system specialist within the LAD team.

A solid understanding of finance and accounting, enabling you to propose, define and validate process and software improvements effectively.

Participating in IT projects, particularly in the requirement analysis, user acceptance testing and deployment of new tools, processes, and procedures.

University degree in a relevant field that aligns with the experience mentioned above.

Fluency in both English and Dutch.
