Program Highlights: + Acquire hands-on experience, including supporting various departments in the Finance Organization + Collaborate with interns across various departments through participation in Team Capstone Project + Meet and gain insights from the Senior Leadership Team as well as other leaders across HSB + Expand network to develop lasting professional relationships and receive guidance in navigating career search + Manage your work schedule in a flexible hybrid environment (i.e., combination of in-office and at-home) + Learn about interesting careers within the insurance industry + Participate in community outreach + Potentially pursue full-time career opportunities after graduation **As a valued intern on the team:** + Assist with projects as part of the Finance Process Improvement & Special Projects team + Assist with the development of tools and training presentations + Participate in and help coordinate process improvement events + Help develop and organize project plans for various initiatives + Assist on process improvement initiatives by documenting processes in narrative and process flows. + Participate in special projects as assigned, including employee engagement activities + Support various workflows across the Finance department **Qualifications - Required:** + Pursuing a bachelor’s degree. A focus in accounting, business administration, computer science, economics, engineering, or finance is preferred + Problem-solving abilities, strong verbal and written communication skills, highly motivated, strong Microsoft Office skills (e.g., PowerPoint, Excel) + Live within commuting distance of Hartford, CT to work in the office, according to hybrid schedule + Available to start the internship in May 2025 + The ability to work full-time for 11 weeks At The Hartford Steam Boiler, a subsidiary of Munich Re, we see Diversity and Inclusion as a solution to the challenges and opportunities all around us.
