Citi is seeking a Finance Accounting Analyst to join our team This is a hybrid role with the employee reporting into the Sioux Falls, SD or Buffalo, NY office 3 days per week.
The Finance Reporting Analyst 2 is responsible for supporting the Product Accounting team with a focus on data integrity and results in North America. The position is primarily responsible for the generation, tracking, reconciling and submission of financial reports in coordination with the Summit Accounting team and will support the Markets Treasury, Secured Finance Accounting and GTPL Oversight teams. The role also includes supporting management in annual external and internal audits, ensuring integrity of the books and records while working closely with key stakeholders across the organization on corporate initiatives and strategic implementations.
**Responsibilities:**
+ Assist with closing the books and sub-ledgers, including passing appropriate required adjustment entries at the end of each accounting period
+ Responsible for the accurate reporting of accounting reconciliations
+ Provides data and analysis for various financial and regulatory reports
+ Supports the management and control of data flow to and within Finance applications to ensure integrity and completeness of data
+ Facilitate the implementation of procedures
+ Adhere to key controls for accounting process
+ Communicate with internal partners on the status of the reconciliations/accounting performed
+ Deliver routine accounting deliverables to provide defined outputs
+ Escalate problems or issues related to transactions, processes, reports, or procedures
+ Applies understanding of concepts and procedures within Finance and basic knowledge of other areas to resolve issues and accomplish objectives
+ Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
**Qualifications:**
+ 0-2 years of previous experience preferred
+ Experience in Finance, Financial Services, or Accounting preferred
+ Ability to work under pressure or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements
+ Ability to work with counterparts in different areas of organization
+ Proven organization and time management skills
+ Proven problem-solving and decision-making skills
+ Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
+ Strong Excel skills
+ Experience with Knime and Appian beneficial
**Education:**
+ Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or other Finance related degree

$55,341.00 - $68,270.00
