JOB DESCRIPTION:As a Finance Trainee, you will have the opportunity to gain experience in various aspects of finance with a focus on market communications, supplier price change analysis and operations cost tracking.
How You Will Make Contributions That Matter:
Assist in analyzing and tracking financial performance of operational units.
Support the budgeting and forecasting process for operational expenses.
Assist in preparing financial reports and variance analysis for operational units.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather financial data and ensure accuracy.
Assist in identifying cost-saving opportunities and process improvements.
Support the month-end and year-end closing processes.
Assist in performing financial analysis to support decision-making.
Participate in ad hoc financial projects and research as needed.
Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in finance operations.
Learn and apply accounting principles and standards in practical settings.
You Are Best Suited for The Role If You….
Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, finance, or a related field.
Experience with Microsoft Excel.
Are a quick learner with professional demeanor.
Have knowledge of the basic principles and practices of accounting and financial analysis.
Are self-motivated, able to multi-task, can work independently, and as part of a team.
Demonstrate professionalism and positively represents and promotes Saputo at all times.
Have the ability to work scheduled hours and required overtime as needed.
