Job DescriptionThe Finance Transformation Manager will play a key role in advancing financial reporting and systems management within our finance team. Reporting to the Director of Finance Transformation, this role focuses on creating and maintaining a monthly management reporting package, optimizing reporting processes, and ensuring financial systems are configured to deliver accurate, timely, and scalable financial reporting. Additionally, the role involves contributing to system implementations and refining the Chart of Accounts structure to improve reporting outcomes.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Monthly Internal Management Reporting Package and AutomationDevelop and maintain the internal management reporting package, including automation of standard reports to drive efficiency and accuracy.Ensure alignment of reporting outputs with business needs for budgeting, forecasting, and operational insights.Hierarchy and Chart of Accounts ManagementOversee the development and maintenance of financial hierarchies and Chart of Accounts, ensuring accurate, consistent, and scalable structures across systems.Standardize reporting hierarchies to enhance alignment with budgeting, forecasting, and broader reporting needs.Process Optimization and Workflow EnhancementAssess existing financial reporting workflows, identify improvement opportunities, and embed best practices.Document and streamline end-to-end reporting processes to improve accuracy, timeliness, and scalability.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure process enhancements align with organizational objectives.Financial Systems Integration and SupportSupport EPM and ERP system implementations to align with reporting and hierarchy management requirements.Participate in system configuration, testing, and training to enable smooth adoption of new reporting tools.Act as a resource for planning systems, assisting with ongoing testing, training, and improvements.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Business, Finance or Accounting, MBA a plus8+ years of experience in Finance, Accounting, FP&A, or Finance Transformation, with a focus on reporting automation and process optimization.Proficiency in data automation and reporting tools, including Power Query, Power Pivot, OLAP, and VBA.Demonstrated experience with finance systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP) and defining hierarchies within reporting tools.Strong analytical skills, with experience documenting and optimizing process flows.Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.Additional InformationHybrid Work Model: At Guardant Health, we have defined days for in-person/onsite collaboration and work-from-home days for individual-focused time. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $105,920 to $142,990. The range does not include benefits, and if applicable, bonus, commission, or equity. The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries across all US locations for the posted role with the exception of any locations specifically referenced below (if any).
For positions based in Palo Alto, CA or Redwood City, CA, the base salary range for this full-time position is $132,400 to $178,740. The range does not include benefits, and if applicable, bonus, commission, or equity.
Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including, but not limited to, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. If you are selected to move forward, the recruiting team will provide details specific to the factors above.
Employee may be required to lift routine office supplies and use office equipment. Majority of the work is performed in a desk/office environment; however, there may be exposure to high noise levels, fumes, and biohazard material in the laboratory environment.
