General responsibilities include:
Responsible for cost control and the day-to-day accounting and financial activities of the business. To provide an analysis into the performance and financial position of the business and to provide financial information to the various functions, enabling budgeting and investment decisions. The accounting and financial activities will include reporting on costs, productivity, margins, and company expenditures. The accountant is also responsible for the provision of monthly reports (profit and loss as well as balance sheet) in accordance with group guidelines and timescales. Balance sheet recons Payroll maintenance and management Completion of statutory returns Fixed asset register - maintenance and recons Cashbook recons Journals
