Overview

Hire Resolve is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Financial Accountant on behalf of our client, a prominent mining company based in Bloemfontein. This newly created position has been established to support the growing financial workload and will play a key role in the company’s financial operations. Responsibilities

Preparation of financial statements on CaseWare, including reclassifying and correcting journal postings. Liaise with auditors, respond to audit queries, and prepare necessary documentation. Oversee property, plant, equipment, depreciation, deferred taxation, and maintain the asset register. Perform reconciliations for loan accounts and related entity suppliers/vendors. Compute and post interest on financial assets and liabilities. Calculate and submit VAT, corporate income tax, and provisional tax to SARS. Prepare balance sheet reconciliations. Manage customer invoicing processes. Handle transactions using accounting systems like Pastel. Prepare monthly management accounts. Compile financial statements and support files for audits. Manage general administration and filing tasks.

Requirements

National Senior Certificate Relevant B. Com Degree Completed SAICA Articles (required) CA (SA) / AGA(SA) registration (beneficial) Minimum of 5 years in accounting (inclusive of Articles) Industry experience in mining, forex, and export (beneficial) Proficiency with CaseWare software (advantageous)
