Your mission
In the role of a Financial Accountant reporting, focus will be on accurately preparing financial statements and reports that reflect the organization’s financial position, performance, and compliance with regulations and Sandvik reporting requirements. Key responsibilities for the DRC entities will include,
Overall responsibilities for maintaining the DRC entities' Chart of Accounts, suggesting changes to suit business needs. The Financial Accountant Reporting will have overall responsibility for the trial balances for both entities.
Sandvik OneStream reporting – responsible accurate reporting of Sandvik monthly, quarterly and yearly reporting forms and disclosures in OneStream in accordance with Sandvik Financial reporting requirements
Preparation of IFRS Financial Statements - Develop accurate balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
Compliance and Regulation – Assists with monitoring compliance with financial regulations and internal policies, helping to safeguard the organization against risks.
Internal Controls Monitoring & Testing - Participate in evaluating internal control systems by conducting regular audits and testing controls to identify inefficiencies or weaknesses.
Coordinating and following up with the Finance team on the monthly documents for Sandvik reporting.
Financial Analysis - Analyse financial data to provide insights into business performance.
Complete the weekly, monthly and quarterly management reports.
Attending to external audits and ensuring that audits are completed on time.
Actively assisting during internal audits, ensuring that all financial reporting processes are continuously reviewed and updated to meet Group requirements.
Manage direct reports and ensure that deliverables are completed on time.
Any other duties as directed by the supervisor and senior management.
Your profile
We are looking for a person with good Financial Reporting understanding and solid background from the mining or engineering business. You’ve good knowledge of IFRS and financial reporting frameworks.
As we act in a global context, you are good in both English and French; computer literacy and Aurora/SAP ERP knowledge are advantageous.
Key Qualifications
Degree in Accounting, Finance, or any other relevant qualifications
A professional qualification or postgrad is an added advantage.
At least five years experience as a financial accountant in a related business.
Proficiency in financial accounting and accounting software, Power BI, OneStream, Workiva
Competence in Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint advanced
Proven experience in financial reporting.
Experience with testing and monitoring internal controls
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
