Responsibilities:

Ensuring that the Hong Kong and Macau treasury and investment accounting are completed as per schedule and any issues are managed proactively in an efficient and effective manner.  Cash and investments are reviewed, reconciled and reported accurately within required deadlines Managing the Hong Kong and Macau re-insurance recoveries and settlement process with reinsurance brokers and Chubb claims team. Ensure that all balances are reconciled, settled and managed proactively in an efficient and effective manner. Establish process documents and assist in re-engineering the process Ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures, balance sheet reconciliation program and monitoring in place and prompt resolution of audit/review issues Assisting the Finance Manager with financial reporting related tasks including quarterly reporting; Insurance Authority submissions, annual audit and other projects and tasks as required

Requirement:

Bachelor of Commerce/Accountancy degree with CPA, ICPA’s, ACCA or equivalent. At least 7 years of work experience in the Non-Life Insurance industry preferred High level of personal organisation with the ability to manage time effectively to achieve the various deadlines. Results oriented, self-motivated, responsible professional with high levels of integrity. Positive attitude to problem solving and a great team player. Able to communicate effectively with all stakeholders, both internal and external.  Strong English language skills is essential. Demonstrated analytical skills, high level of accuracy and attention to detail is essential. Ability to improve processes and introduce efficient work practices Strong computer skills (ERP Systems - PeopleSoft, COGNOS, Excel, Word, Outlook)
