Financial Accountant - Fixed Term

Role Overview:

This 1-year fixed-term contract is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to take on a challenging and rewarding role in managing global intercompany balances and overseeing the preparation of local accounts and statutory audits for assigned entities. Key duties include creating and reviewing Stat to GAAP reconciliations, providing data to external accounting providers, and working with auditors, the tax team, and legal to ensure timely filing of local statutory accounts. The role also involves supporting the local audit process, liaising with corporate accounting and shared service centers to close month, quarter, and year-end accounts, and conducting monthly and quarterly balance sheet reconciliations, including intercompany balances. Additionally, the position provides assistance with fixed assets, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and purchasing queries, while managing the implementation of new accounting standards and processes. The role also contributes to ad-hoc projects as needed.

This role is based in Ireland with a preference to Cork. We will only consider candidates currently in Ireland and are not offering relocation assistance at this time.

About the Job:

Responsible for the management of intercompany balances globally.Responsible for the preparation of Local accounts and supporting Local Statutory audits for assigned entities.Creating/reviewing Stat to GAAP walks.Providing data to our accounting outside providers, liaising with auditors, Tax team and legal to get all documents in place and local statutory accounts filed in a timely manner.Providing details to auditors and supporting the Local audit in anyway required.Liaison with Corporate accounting and SSC for closing all month, quarter and year end accounts for assigned entities.Monthly/Quarterly Balance Sheet reconciliations including Intercompany.Assistance to SSC for Fixed Assets, AP, AR, Purchasing queries/ad hoc tasks.Project Management of implementing new accounting standards/processes/tasks as they arise. Documenting such processes and communicating with the team and management.Contribute to ad hoc projects.

About You:

Fully Qualified Accountant with 2 years post qualification accounting experience.Industry experience an advantage but not essential.You have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to form good working relationships at various and multiple levels throughout an organization.You thrive in a faster-paced, high-growth environment.You are self-motivated and driven to achieve tight deadlines and can prioritize well.You are a problem-solver, solutions-focused and you work on your own initiative.You have a passion for the technical nuances of accounting and keep yourself up to date in new developments in Accounting Standards.
