Financial Advisor II
The Financial Advisor II is responsible for providing financial planning, financial advice, and investment management to serve the needs of individuals, families, and business owners. The Financial Advisor is responsible for building and retaining a book of business. The Financial Advisor assesses the client’s investment portfolio, financial objectives and provides guidance to the client/prospect on successfully achieving those objectives. Proactively develops a client base to which appropriate wealth management products can be sold. Key Responsibilities: · Collects and analyzes information regarding the customer risk tolerance, long- and short-term goals, income, assets, investments, and debts; determining which products best meet the customer’s needs and circumstances. · Advises the customer regarding the advantages, risks, and disadvantages of different products and solutions. · Develops internal referral resources to identify existing customers. · Identifies external prospects and builds up new client relationships though work within the community and personal network. · Understands and complies with all aspects of Raymond James policies and practices, including laws and regulations governing the duties and responsibilities of a financial advisor. Competencies Required: • Strong sales, marketing, and business development skills. • Advanced understanding of all RJ (Raymond James) systems. • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (i.e., Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint or SharePoint). • Excellent organizational and time management skills. • Effectively organize, manage, track and complete multiple detailed tasks and assignments with frequently changing priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced work environment. • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and identify trends. • Exceptional attention to detail and concern for data accuracy. • Excellent critical thinking and decision-making skills; demonstrated ability to make sound business judgments. • Exceptional presentation and communication skills, including technical writing abilities. • Strong client relationship skills to build and maintain positive business relationships with clients and market contacts; including excellent communication skills and service orientation, cooperative nature, and tactfulness to resolve client and company issues. • Ability to navigate client relationships and product usage; strong client focus and ability to partner with various internal groups. • Use appropriate interpersonal styles and communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with all organizational levels. • Independent, self-motivated with an ability to adapt and be flexible in a team environment. Minimum Qualifications/Experience: · 5 years’ experience in the financial services industry as an advisor. Formal Education & Certification: · Life & Health Insurance license required. · FINRA Series 7, 63 and 65 or FINRA Series 7, 66 required. · Bachelor’s degree preferred. Work Status: · Full-Time. Supervisory Responsibility: · None. Travel: · 0% - Negligible amount of travel expected.
