Financial Analyst, FP&A

 

 

Overview & Responsibilities:

 

The Financial Analyst (Content & Programming) will contribute immediately by driving quantitative and qualitative analyses to optimize content performance. This role is part of the Financial Planning & Analysis team and reports to the Sr. Manager, FP&A - Content & Programming Analytics.

This role is based in Los Angeles and reports to the Sr. Manager, FP&A - Content & Programming Analytics.

 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

 

Financial Analysis: Creating business models and implementing recommendations based on findings. Providing regular financial overviews to senior management. Supporting FP&A reporting cycles, including monthly forecasts, annual budgets, and long-range plans. Reporting and Dashboards: Preparing and delivering time-sensitive reports for internal and external stakeholders. Collaborating with Business Intelligence and FP&A teams to manage dashboards, monitor business performance, and provide meaningful insights. Augmenting existing revenue reporting processes for continuous improvement. Revenue Forecasts: Analyzing prospective fixed fee deals for licensing movies and TV series using revenue projections derived from internal metrics. Preparing and distributing key materials regarding these deals for senior management’s approval. Partnership Operations: Collaborating with account leads to handle onboarding and maintenance activities for content partners. Preparing supporting documentation to ensure accurate and timely payments to content partners. Ad Hoc Analysis: Sourcing, consolidating, and organizing content usage and financial data to create clear and actionable analysis for internal review and rapid decision-making

 

Basic Qualifications:

 

Bachelor’s degree 2-3 years of work experience in a finance, accounting, or similar quantitative role; media, entertainment, and/or technology experience a plus Advanced Microsoft Office and/or Google Workspace suite skills, particularly Excel/Sheets and Powerpoint/Slides Strong financial modeling, forecasting, and analytical skills A willingness and quick ability to learn new software Excellent communication and presentation skills - be able to handle and synthesize large datasets to deliver critical insights in an easy-to-digest format for management and external partners Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment

 

Additional Qualifications:

 

Prior experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, etc.) Prior experience with Alteryx Basic SQL proficiency

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

 

 

Hiring Salary Range: $60,000.00 - 80,000.00. 

 

The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.  The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable,  as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement.
