Financial Analyst – Sustainability
Job Summary Responsible for supporting the sustainability strategy of the company. Partnering with internal stakeholders and third-party consultants to gather and document relevant information pertaining to sustainability metrics, reporting frameworks & disclosures, and pending legislation. Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities Develop deep knowledge base of the various sustainability reporting frameworks Conduct research on best practices, emerging trends and regulatory requirements in sustainability. Staying up to date on the latest developments from the Securities & Exchange Commission (“SEC”) and other state agencies regarding climate disclosure requirements to ensure compliance Emissions data gathering, cleaning, summarizing and procedure documentation Coordinating with various internal stakeholders to organize and prioritize sustainability-related metrics, initiatives and goals Support data analysis, develop strategies and implement initiatives to drive sustainability performance and promote responsible business practices to our stakeholders, including the sustainability data relevant to our investors Prepare reports and presentation to communicate findings, trends and recommendations to stakeholders. Comprehensive tracking of peer sustainability disclosures Key resource in the development of future sustainability reports to internal and external stakeholders Environmental Job Requirements Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable. Preferred Experience Typically requires BS/BA in a related discipline. Generally, 3+ years of experience in a related field. General knowledge of Sustainability / ESG landscape, processes and procedures Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or another related field. 3+ years of corporate finance or sustainability-related reporting experience. Excellent communication skills in dealing with internal and external stakeholders. Strong analytical skills, including advanced spreadsheet and data modeling. Knowledge of various sustainability frameworks and reporting requirements. Self-motivation and attention to detail.
