Job OverviewThe College of Nursing Business Office is seeking a dynamic Financial Analyst 2 to meet the college's core values (ICARE): Integrity, Collaboration, Accountability, Respect and Excellence. The Business Office supports the college's Financial and Human Resources administration. The selected candidate will report to the Business Officer who oversees the budget and all financial aspects of the college. The Financial Analyst role is responsible for analyzing and monitoring financial data, which includes post award grant administration, management of local funds, and posting of all scholarship awards; in addition, the Financial Analyst 2 will collaborate with the college's Human Resources team to ensure accurate data entry for salaries and performing timekeeping functions as needed for non-exempt staff and student workers. This role requires strong organization skills, ability to manage multiple tasks with varying priorities, accuracy, and attention to detail. These skills, as well as a commitment to excellent service to faculty, staff, and students, are essential to be successful in this role.
Essential Functions Monitor and interpret financial data in the development of cost analysis and reports. Prepare and develop financial/statistical analysis reports. Perform budget analysis and assist in the development of budgetary forecasts. Prepare and assist in budget-related statistical analysis, estimates and financial reports. Assist in the development and input of financial transactions into university systems. Conduct financial feasibility studies on new programs by using financial modeling systems and statistical programs. Perform related duties based on departmental need. This job description can be changed at any time. Required EducationBachelor’s Degree must be in accounting or related field.
Required ExperienceTwo (2) years of related accounting experience.
Additional Qualifications ConsideredExperience with Microsoft Suite and user proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Experience with SAP financial and HR system.
