Financial Analyst

Hexcel is currently seeking a Financial Analyst for our Salt Lake City, UT, USA, Matrix location.

The selected individual will be responsible for but not limited to the following obligations:

Prepare, analyze, interpret, and report clear, accurate, and timely manufacturing plant performance information to management (including actual versus budget and actual versus standard), and assist in the preparation of operating budgets and forecasts. Maintain general ledger accounting that is compliant with company policies and procedures and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.  Assist monthly, quarterly and annual financial closing processes and account reconciliations to assure accurate, timely financial reporting.  Develop and maintain standardized processes and tools for financial aspects of plant product costing standards.  Work with engineering teams and operations to accurately develop and update all aspects of the standards.Assist plant engineering and department managers with cost savings associated with continuous improvement initiatives and measure effectiveness of past continuous improvement initiatives. Perform working-level professional accounting work under the general supervision of the plant controller.  Record, audit, verify, control, and report financial transactions.Support both internal and external audits of financial controls. Work with all members of the operations team to achieve financial and business goals and objectives. Develop tools to proactively address plant issues. Comply with and understand all safety rules and job hazards.  Perform job responsibilities in a safe and efficient manner.

Qualifications:

Great energy, engaging, and enjoys collaborating with team and other departments, with minimal supervisionBachelor's Degree from a four-year college or university (Accounting or Finance preferred). CPA and/or Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred. 1-2 years experience in operations management or finance preferred.Strong verbal and written communications skills.  Experience presenting to small and large audiences. Ability to draw conclusions, recommend actions, and make decisions based on data analysis. Proficiency in MS Office – Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Access.  Possess advanced level Excel skills.
