The Financial Analyst will provide accurate and timely financial analysis to Finance, Accounting, and executives across every discipline at ACA. The position will be required to think critically and analytically to develop and communicate insights and decision-making tools used to improve finance and accounting operations, optimize enterprise business performance and provide back-up to critical business functions.

   

Essential Functions

Assist in preparation of annual budget, monthly financial reporting packages, analysis of current & projected financial performance, as well as ad hoc projects when requiredPerform various complex activities related to variance analysis, capital planning, competitor and macro-economic surveillance, as well as analysis of industry trendsPrepare financial analysis and benchmarking regarding competitor and peer financial and capital performanceMaintain and improve efficacy of meeting daily funding needs of the business through stewarding cash forecasting modelsCreate and operate financial models to facilitate analysis and decision-makingAssist in the execution and administration of the company’s funding and securitization programsAnalyze business problems within the company with a focus on improving the operations of the Finance Department and underlying business performanceOther tasks as assigned

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in a business such as Finance, Accounting, Economics, Data Analysis, Mathematics, or a relevant disciplineMust enjoy working in a fast paced, dynamic environment where every day presents unique challenges and opportunitiesMust have the willingness and desire to work extra hours when required to complete the jobMust appreciate and thrive in an environment where self-direction, autonomy, and creative problem-solving are requiredExperience with Microsoft Excel a necessity; ability within Workday, SQL, or Tableau a plus0 - 3 years of financial institution/finance company experience within accounting or finance is a plusMust have strong verbal and written communication, presentation, and time management skills

Supervisory Responsibility

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

 

Work Environment and Physical Demands

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.

 

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position with a work schedule of Monday-Friday with some weekend work required. Hours may vary or exceed 40 in any given week depending on the needs of the business.
