Financial Analyst

 

Overview:

The Financial Analyst is responsible for performing financial analyses related to Crestline’s portfolio of managed hotels, its business development efforts, and the corporate entity itself. This position requires a professional who is highly motivated, has a strong work ethic and is a team player. This individual should be analytical, deciphering financial data to effectively review and evaluate hotel investment opportunities and to assess the performance of individual hotels in Crestline’s portfolio as well as Crestline’s corporate financial results. He/she should be able to identify problems and develop innovative solutions to further efforts toward continuous process improvements. In addition, he/she should be well-organized, detail-oriented, and be able to perform a variety of tasks under time pressure and strict deadlines. A strong Excel user with prior experience in financial modeling is highly preferred.


The Financial Analyst position will be on-site at Crestline’s corporate headquarters in Fairfax, VA.  The Analyst will report to the head of Crestline’s feasibility team and will work closely with other team members throughout the company. There may be some limited travel.


Key Duties & Responsibilities:

Analyze and evaluate hotel investment opportunities by performing feasibility studies and using valuation benchmarks including returns on investments (“ROIs”), internal rates of return (“IRRs”) and net present values (“NPVs”)Assist operations team and other departments with various financial analyses, including ROI’s and benchmarking and incorporate findings into concise PowerPoint presentations for key stakeholdersLend analytical support to the preparation of strategic plans, competitor benchmarking, and market assessmentsAssist Crestline accounting/treasury team with forecasts, budgets and other functions

 

Education and Experience:

Bachelor's Degree (four-year college or university) in finance, business or other related fieldProven computer proficiency in Excel and PowerPointRelevant work or internship experienceAbility to thrive in an environment that is both strategic and creative, and which requires rapid learning, multitasking and prioritizing under tight deadlinesProven track record of proactively solving complex issuesAbility to work proactively, independently and as a strategic partner in a team environmentDemonstrated partnering, influencing, and communication skills up and down the organizational structure to convey key elements in a concise and positive manner
