Position Overview:

Under the direction of the Manager of Financial Planning and Analysis, the Financial Analyst is someone who will provide financial and analytical support for the Johnson Fitness & Wellness retail stores, North America Sporting Goods, and Bowflex / Schwinn and other market segments, including – Independent Dealers, and other distribution channels. 


Responsibilities:


Budgeting and Forecasting:

· Play a key role with forecasting, budgeting, and planning efforts

· Support Financial Reporting requirements for actual results and projections

· Assist with developing the annual budget, rolling forecasts and operating plan

· Financial Duties include:

· Development and entry of monthly journal entries; including but not limited to analysis of Customer rebates, incentive plans and evaluation of warranty costs and trends, as required

· Reconciliation and maintenance of assigned general ledger accounts, as required

· Margin analysis across all business segments, with ability to identify volume, rate, and mix variance trends

· Provide information and assist with quarterly reviews and year end audit

· Develop and implement procedures and policies to improve financial practices 

· Develop relationships with sales segment directors to develop and monitor marketing and promotional programs, management of customer incentive programs, and management of overall spending in support of business

· Preparation of ad hoc analysis in support of business decisions

Requirements


Education:

· Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance 


Experience:

· Minimum 3-5 years of experience in Accounting, Finance, or related field

· Experience developing rolling forecasts, budgeting / planning experience, and the ability to conduct ad hoc financial analysis is required. 

· Prior experience in cost accounting, retail pricing analytics, and margin analysis is a plus


Other Requirements:

· Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Excel

· Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal, able to clearly communicate financial information in easy-to-understand manner at multiple levels and functions within the business

· Prior experience with SAP (FI, MM & SD modules), Business Warehouse, Microsoft CRM and Adaptive Insights preferred

· Advanced knowledge of conducting comprehensive revenue analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement

· Ability to develop and maintain financial models to support forecasting, budgeting and long-term planning

· Demonstrated analytical, problem solving, and critical thinking skill, are required

· Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
