The **Financial Analyst** will be instrumental in supporting the Controller and Finance Managers by providing comprehensive accounting support to the St. Louis and O’Fallon Manufacturing Plants. Key responsibilities include executing monthly closing activities, preparing account reconciliations, assisting in budget and forecast preparation, calculating costs for new item, and contributing to capital project management and asset tracking efforts. **Key Responsibilities:** + **Support Budget and Forecast Development** : Contribute to the creation and refinement of budgets and financial forecasts. + **Financial Performance Analysis** : Analyze financial results to assess current performance and project future outcomes. + **Month-End Reporting** : Assist in preparing detailed analysis of month-end financial results for presentation to Senior Management. + **Journal Entry Preparation** : Prepare and record accurate journal entries. + **Account Reconciliations** : Perform reconciliations for key accounts, such as inventory and unvouchered accounts. + **General Ledger Review** : Examine general ledger accounts for accuracy and reasonableness, and resolve any discrepancies. + **Capital Project Tracking** : Collaborate with capital project managers to monitor and report on project expenditures. + **Cost Calculation** : Calculate costs for new items and assist in establishing annual standard costs. + **Inventory Management** : Assist in planning and conducting the annual physical inventory for the St. Louis and O’Fallon locations. + **Special Projects** : Provide support on various special projects as required by management. **Required Education** : + Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance. **Required Experience** : + At least two years of relevant work experience or internships in a related field. **Preferred Experience:** + Prior experience in Manufacturing Cost Accounting. **Required Skills/Qualifications** : + Strong analytical proficiency with the ability to distill complex business issues into clear cause-and-effect relationships. + Excellent written and verbal communication skills, both formal and informal. + Demonstrated accountability for delivering accurate information and upholding the highest ethical standards. + Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook. **Preferred Skills:** + Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP, ERPLx, or similar platforms.
