Position Description:

Voyager Space - Defense is seeking an experienced Financial Analyst III who understands forecasting, budgets, and ideally rates in a government contract environment. This is a critical function for the company, and the Financial Analyst III will analyze, report, and frame fact-based financial and business performance information for key decision makers. The selected candidate must possess strong analytical skills and financial acumen, and intellectual curiosity combined with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The position will report directly to the Finance Manager and will be located in Folsom, CA.

 

Responsibilities: 

Assist in the preparation, consolidation, and analysis of all FP&A metrics for Management review.Supporting the Finance Manager with the company’s monthly rolling forecasts - Analyzing actual costs to budgets and forecasts.Coordination, preparation, and analysis of inputs to the AOP/LRSP reviews and submittal, monthly program reviews, and Investment and Pipeline Reviews.Work collaboratively with other business professionals and interact on a regular basis with both division and company-level staff.Work with the divisions to understand key drivers, unidentified opportunities, and risk to improve our forecasting accuracy in a systematic fashion.Support and perform ad-hoc what if modeling and reportingAudit support with the government DCMA/DCAAMaking recommendations for change to optimize the profitability of the company.Participate in the preparation of budgets and schedules and perform and/or assist in financial analysis such as funding profiles, cost outlook, and variance analysis.Analyze actual cost details to ensure proper charging.Help develop forecasts of future costs based on historical actuals, program status and management plans.Apply independent judgment and critical thinking to evaluate historical cost and future estimates.Interface and coordinate project status from a variety of professional functions: Business Development, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Human Resources, etc., and with various levels within the organization.Investigate deviations from plan and unusual results.Additionally, the position supports the following areas:Preparation of monthly operational review packages.Quarterly and annual external filing requirements.Quarterly program EAC reviewsMonthly or weekly cash management reports and analysisCompany Sarbanes Oxley compliance

 

Requirements:

Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance at the appropriate level (requires U.S. Citizenship).Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or other related discipline from an accredited college/university. May consider equivalent experience in lieu of degreeFour (4) years to seven (7) years of professional experience in Business, Accounting, Finance or related fieldsWorking experience with Deltek CostpointAdvanced Excel/Presentation skills.Ability to translate, present, and communicate complicated financial information into understandable and executable strategic plans.

 

 

Preferences:

Experience in Program FinanceProficiency with OPDEC IPM and/or NetSuiteRelated DoD and/or aerospace industry experienceCAS and FAR knowledge is highly desiredAccounting experienceProposal experience

 

 

Salary Range: $87,465 - $125,260/year
