Overview

The Financial Analyst will be a member of the Corporate Financial Planning & Analysis team. The FP&A team is a critical part of the organization that works with all businesses, functions and levels of the organization to help reach its short term and long term growth objectives. This role has executive management exposure and offers the opportunity to develop a broad knowledge of global operations. The ideal candidate should be a bright and eager professional able to demonstrate their ability to be a tenacious self-starter. A performance-driven dynamic individual who is eager to delve into special projects and take ownership of rewarding, hands-on duties.

Responsibilities

Assists management with monthly SG&A report generation, review and validation.Perform month end close activities on Corporate Spend, which include utilization of financial analysis and partnership with internal clients to ensure any required financial activity is reported in a timely manner. Provide guidance on journal entry reclassifications, allocations and corrections for our corporate expenses through the performance of self-directed research, consideration of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and review of relevant financial data.Facilitate the preparation of financial analysis to compare financial performance to the Annual Operating Plan (AOP), Forecast and Prior Year.Supports the development of AOP, monthly and quarterly forecast for Corporate spending, as well as the tracking of key deliverables.Assist management in the review and completion of fixed asset project closures.  Facilitate Corporate FP&A projects as needed including, but not limited to, enhancement of current Corporate Spend reporting, reporting and system enhancements, integrating financial reporting related to acquisitions, daily sales reporting consolidation, and creating efficiencies within the Corporate FP&A team.Improve and maintain documentation and training materials for assigned responsibilitiesAnalyzes data required to recommend business solutionsDevelops financial models to support strategic initiatives.Evaluates processes to drive efficiencies to deliver improved financial performance.Assist in the delivery of month-end financial presentations and support related to executive financial reviews and summary of quarterly results.Other ad hoc requests as they arise.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in finance or accounting or related field, MBA preferred.1-3 years’ experience in a finance and accounting role.Prior experience within a large, multinational, public organization a plus.Ability to manage competing priorities with ability to manage workload and meet tight deadlines.Effective communication and influencing across various levels in the organization.Excellent organizational skills including but not limited to project planning, time management, and project management.Experience with financial systems (e.g. HFM. Hyperion Essbase) preferred.Advanced Excel skills required & Advanced PowerPoint skills preferred.
